0505	Sergeant Rossi, or Sergeant Coon, in charge of Bundy location. Phillips, Lange, Vannatter & Fuhrman arrive at 360 north Rockingham. Kato Kaelin hears phone ring {indicating someone at gate} thinks he's dreaming.
0507	Furhman's report on arrival at Rockingham. === Vannatter will NOT cover for {confirm} Fuhrman, he ducks question === === ? Blood there at later time ? Was someone injured? ===
CNN's Burden of Proof, 19 may 1997 FUHRMAN: Now Ron Phillips was my boss. He did not find any evidence. He made some phone calls. He coordinated some things but, basically, found no evidence that was presented.
0510	Vannatter estimates Arrival at Rockingham. Premlim 6 July 1994 10 CLARK: If you could reiterate for us the precise time, 11 as you remember, that you first observed the glove on the 12 premises at 360 Rockingham. 13 FUHRMAN: It is pretty hard to be precise, but I will get 14 as close as I can. 15 We arrived at approximately 5:10. By failing to introduce the LAPD cellphone calls, Clark avoids establishing an accurate arrival time.
0514	Vannatter asked Phillips to contact Westec.
0515	On post, to the rear of Bundy, Officer Riske writes his report, it shows time as 5:15. At Rockingham, Vannatter believes Sargent Rossi has called Westec. Generally speaking, the officers are hanging around the Ashford gate. Fuhrman wanders off in the direction of Rockingham.
0517	Detective Phillips is on the cellphone. Lead Detectives Lange & Vannatter are at Ashford Gate where they ring bell for 10-15 minutes. Fuhrman heads west on Ashford to corner of Rockingham.
0519	Phillips Gets house number from Westec and had called inside. Westec unit arrives at Rockingham.
0520	Standing at corner, Fuhrman sees lights. He goes into street & heads down Rockingham alone.
0521	Fuhrman sees the Bronco at unusual angle -- Sees a piece of broken wood. ***** Fuhrman's piece of wood is never linked to anything. *****
Fuhrman on police as witnesses against their own: "You don't see, you don't remember and it didn't happen. Those are the three things you say and you stick to it." Was Fuhrman Suspect in the minds of his fellow officers? During the Civil Trial, the one consistant fact is the inability of the officers called to testify to express first hand, eyewitness testimony as to any of the critical elements in this case. Most notible is their inability to testify to the actions of either Rokahr, or Fuhrman. In addition, absolutely no testimony is provided as to the actions of Detective Brad Roberts -- the individual Fuhrman asserts in his book witnessed all of Fuhrman's discoveries -- or who made discoveries which Fuhrman witnessed and testified to in the Criminal Proceedings.
0523	Fuhrman sees small spot on Bronco door -- shows Vannatter, then Lange. In "Evidence Dismissed" {page 19}, the detectives assert, "Fuhrman conducts a brief inspection of the vehicle and calls Lange over to the car. "Hey", he says, "I think I've found blood."
0525	Vannatter {10-15 minute} rings Ashford Gate bell.
0525	Vannatter walks arounds to Bronco.

0528	Westec Security vehicle arrives.
0530	Vannatter asserts a possible threat to Simpson: 17 VANNATTER: After arriving there and learning that no one had 18 any knowledge of any prior travel plans, seeing lights on 19 in the residence, being told that there should be a live-in 20 maid, I was concerned that something had occurred there, 21 whether I had a second murder scene, whether I had someone 22 injured, whether I had someone that was stalking 23 Mr. Simpson and his wife, whatever. 24 I became concerned someone could be hurt or 25 injured in that location.
0530	Fuhrman declares emergency. Vannatter decides to secure Bronco, he assigns Officers Gonzalez & Aston.
0531	Vannatter calls for a criminalist {Mar 16}.
0535	Mazzola calls Fung: There is...A SCENE WE NEEDED TO RESPOND TO IN WEST L.A. DIVISION. {about 5:30 per Fung, 5:35 per Scheck}
0535	Fuhrman etal are back at the Ashford Gate what did they have? Fuhrman offers to go over the wall and opens the Ashford Gate. They knock on front door.
0540	Four officers at Kaelin's door Ron Phillips is first officer to speak.
0541	The detectives are outside for FORTY MINUTES: 26 MS. CLARK: At that point, how long had you been outside the 27 residence at 360 Rockingham, attempting to reach someone 28 inside? 0044 01 VANNATTER: I would have to estimate that. I would say in 02 the vicinity of 40 minutes.
0543	Fuhrman & Kaelin Conversation, in Kaelin's room, Fuhrman searches room. Ostensibly on a death notification, Fuhrman tests a house guest, he just awaken from a sound sleep, for drugs & learns where to plant glove.***** Fuhrman's reasoning & knowledge. *****
0545	Lange & Phillips go to Arnelle's room -- Fuhrman stays with Kaelin. They pound on door for 2-3 minutes, before Arnelle responds.
0547	[thinks: 0500-0530] Arnelle is awakened by Phillips and Lange. Leaving her room, Arnelle sees Fuhrman converstaion with Kaelin. Vannatter missing, has gone off searching property.***** Marcia Clark affirmed Arnelle had no contact with Fuhrman. *****
0548	Arnelle sees Vannatter at pool area. Vannatter has searched behind house, to make death notification. 22 VANNATTER: Yes. 23 And I asked her, "well, is he? I don't know. 24 Is he here?" 25 And she looked sort of quizzical and she says 26 at that point -- either -- I believe myself, I asked 27 her, "do you have a key? Can we check to see if your 28 father is here? We need to get in touch with him." 0050 01 And she said, "yes, I have a key," and she 02 took us into the house.
0549	Kaelin's Conversation with Fuhrman ends & they follow Arnelle.***** The route followed *****
0550	Arnelle goes thru kitchen, to phone, then to her car to retrieve her phonebook, she's accompanied by Phillips, Lange stays in Kitchen. [This resets time to around 6:05 or FIRST CALL to Cathy Randa] 02 Clark: Were you present in the house while Arnelle 03 made the phone call to try and locate her father? 04 Vannatter: I believe at that point when she was making 05 the phone call is when I started walking toward the back 06 and was shortly thereafter approached by detective 07 Fuhrman who directed me to sit down at the bar area and 08 talk to Kato.
0551	Kaelin enters, followed by Fuhrman who directs Kaelin to sit. Fuhrman Tapes: "I didn't arrest him under anything. Just took him to the station, ran him for prints, gave him to the detectives to compare with what they've got in the area. I'll probably arrest a criminal that way." The Fuhrman method as applied to Kato, 6 AM Interogated, tested for drugs, his clothes & shoes examined for blood, and given to Detective Vannatter to compare with what they had.
0553	Fuhrman tells Vannatter to talk to Kaelin. Goes to south wall. 02 CLARK: With Arnelle. 03 Did you search the house? 04 VANNATTER: I briefly looked as I moved back toward the 05 back. I didn't see anything unusual in that portion of 06 the house. 07 And shortly thereafter, detective Fuhrman came 08 to me and says, "hey, you've got to talk to" -- he was 09 calling him Kato, Brian Kaelin. "Listen to what he has 10 to say."
0554	Vannatter sits by Kaelin. 12 Vannatter: Well, prior to that, detective Fuhrman had 13 told me that Kato had told him that he'd heard a very 14 loud noise on the south side of his room, and that he 15 was going to go back there and check and see if 16 everything was okay. And he told me, "ask him, or have 17 him tell you about this noise that he heard." 18 And I sat down there and talked with him, and 19 he told me that evening he had heard a very loud 20 thumping noise outside, that he had thought it was an 21 earthquake, and it had actually moved a picture on the 22 wall of his room.Fuhrman IS under direction of Vannatter 24 A Well, again, I had the same suspicion. It's 25 very unusual to hear loud thumping noises outside your 26 bedroom. 27 I thought possibly somebody was hurt or 28 somebody was down out there, and that's why detective 0055 01 Fuhrman was going to that location to check.
0555	Fuhrman goes away,***** Arnelle learns Nicole & another person murdered *****
Opportunity to plant glove begins.
0555	Phillips tells Arnelle Nicole was murdered she breaks down. {Det. Lange is inside} Kaelin hears her scream out in shock.
0556	Arnelle & Det Lange return to kitchen, she calls Cathy Randa. Crying, Arnelle gives phone to Lange, who talks with Randa.
0558	[phone bill] Arnelle determines OJ's location, tells Lange & Phillips.
