I see no reason whatever for this question to be examined, whether Marv Albert is to be permitted to continue working for NBC, being the best play-by-play basketball commentator there is, and I don't even watch basketball.

Does anyone really care if Marv Albert dons a chartreuse corselet and dances the carioca while eating jelly doughnuts under the light of the moon to find his sexual satisfaction? Why is it anyone's business but his? Are any of you standing under your neighbors windows to see how they do "it," to see if they belong in your neighborhood or must be drummed out?

Marv Albert was falsely accused by a vengeful woman. He copped a plea bargain to remove himself from the media spotlight this accusation caused to be thrust on him. This doesn't change his professional talent. What's morality got to do with basketball? Are only the sexually indifferent allowed to play the game or comment on it or does talent for playing and remarking on this popular game stand more importantly central to the game of basketball?

OJ Simpson's problem is something entirely different, not to be compared with Marv Albert. The kangaroo civil trial, jurors carefully selected by the judge to convict, a suit which should never have even been brought, has put him in a slavery position of not being able to work without paying Fred Goldman all of the money he earns for a crime for which he was acquitted.

No-jays like to claim OJ was acquitted because the jurors who judged him were stupid. Nothing stupid about that jury. They like to accuse OJ Simpson of being stupid, also. Nothing stupid about OJ. They intelligently sorted out the true from the false. OJ managed to set himself up in life so that he still, despite all that's happened to him, has $25,000 a month to live on in a rented house which cost $6000 a month. Nothing dumb there. I only wish I could manage my money that well. So do the no-jays. Jealousy of his position in life is mainly what fires them up.

Those of us who've posted on boards of AOL and seen the evil posts those people write cannot really believe these people are interested in justice. What they seem most interested in to me is the chance to use their computers heartlessly, to indulge themselves in smearing OJ daily for their personal whims, their love of smearing, long after his legal and proper acquittal.

The talentless and jealous now wonder if Marv Albert should be allowed to resume his career. Why shouldn't he?

Acquitted OJ would and should also be free to resume his career and would be able to except for that lawless civil judgment demanded by an overwrought lunatic namd Fred Goldman, who appears to be fueled by a combination of personal greed and his own guilt at his personal neglect of his son, now impossible for him to set right because his son is dead. He is now making a career of misdirection, accusing OJ Simpson of his own felt guilt.

An intelligent step in that direction was taken when Judge Irving Schimer denied Fred Goldman and his matching greedy attorneys the right to be able to take OJ Simpson's retirement money, to entirely impoverish OJ Simpson for a crime for which he was lawfully found not guilty. This sane and fair judge will not be the last who will act to end this madness perpetrated against OJ Simpson.

Who and what and in what way are those talentless and ignorant people so lily-white they think they've a right to damn every one else for not measuring up to their own non-existent standards? They're nothing but The Sick and The Sour, undeserving of any decent person's ear or respect.
